]]> A few months back, I attended a funeral of a close family friend’s mother. As with most funerals, there was a somber mood in the room. During the eulogy, the minister asked a really important question:

What Legacy Do You Want To Leave Behind?

When I returned home, I really pondered over that question. What legacy do I want to leave behind? That’s a pretty deep question when you think about it.

But here’s the thing. You don’t have to wait until you die to leave a legacy.  

Start now.  Think long and hard about how you want to be remembered. What do you want people to say about you?

Your passion becomes your legacy when you serve others while being who you are and doing what you love.

I firmly believe that we all have a purpose. We are born to leave our mark on the world. As Billy Graham said, “the legacy we leave is not just in our possessions, but in the quality of our lives.”

Once you’re clear, always watch for opportunities to live true to that essence. Strive to bring your best to every experience and relationship.

Be intentional about the influence you want to have on the world. You’re writing that legacy every day. What impact are you making on the lives of others?
